Ok, maybe the title is a little too dramatic but I’ve been meaning to tell you guys about the stuff I started to use that has changed my hair. None of its expensive (thank God) and I’ll provide links if you want to buy and try. If you’re outside the U.S. and want to try something, let me know and I’ll see if we can find it on Amazon. I wish I could say all the brands below have paid me to gush over their products but I haven’t received a dime. I just really love them!
Hair Mask – Love Beauty Planet Murumuru Butter & Rose Blooming Strength & Shine Masque
There is no other way to put this that on top of fly aways and little hairs on my head that resembled pubes, this hair masque has fixed both. I love, love, love this stuff! It leaves my hair looking healthier and shinier. It also smells so good! At first I thought it was a fail because after applying it, my hair didn’t have the normal slick feeling it has after conditioning. Once I combed it out and dried it, voila! No more pubes! The link above is for Amazon and it seems to be more but you can snag it from Target for just $2.99. I can get 3 treatments out of the pouch and I have pretty long hair.
Dry Shampoo- Dove Refresh + Care Dry Shampoo, Volume & Fullness
Before I discovered dry shampoo, I would occasionally go a 3rd day without washing my hair but by then, my coarse hair would now look limp and greasy. I tried a few dry shampoos but the smell was on par with a car air freshener. Dove makes a great one that smells clean and definitely gives your hair volume when you need it most. Usually under $5, you’ll end up saving money using less shampoo!
Leave-In Conditioner Matrix Color Obsessed Miracle Treat 12
Are you getting the general idea of my hair? It’s coarse, long, color-treated and can be frizzy. Add a couple lovely cowlicks in the front and sometimes I resemble Diana Ross after an evening at Studio 54. Here is a great treatment you put on your hair before styling. I focus on the ends primarily. It’s protected my color and cut down on breakage.
Shampoo for Color Treated Hair- Matrix Total Results So Silver
My hair stylist friend recommended this shampoo a year ago and I’ve never used anything else since. I would say it prolongs my highlights by about 50%. Suddenly my 9-year-old isn’t tracing the outline of my roots, announcing “mom, it’s like you have a crown on your head!” This gets me to my next appointment without looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame.
Because sharing is caring, I would love to know if you guys have any hair products you can’t live without. Is there something new that I need to try out there? I’m all ears!!

I love Sebastian potion number 9 Love it! It’s a lotion that keeps my curly hair from looking like a Brillo pad.
I’m Googling that right now. I have naturally curly hair so anything to help my hair is worth checking out! Thanks!
It’s a little pricey, but it lasts a long time. Not much is needed to work and it smells amazing! You can get it at Ulta or on amazon
Cool! I can get it at Ulta! Thanks for the tip!
I love that I don’t have to worry about any of this stuff! Although, if you could do a post on product s that will keep the ends of my wigs from going frizzy that would be helpful hehe.
Haha! I know someone who uses exentions of real hair so I’ll have to ask her. How do you care for your wig?
I brush it daily and then wash it when I need to. In the winter like once every two weeks? The summer is at least once a week. More depending on what I’m doing and how gross it is. It’s synthetic and I’m allowed to blow dry it and style it and stuff but I just let it air dry. I need to get a new one though. This one is old and it’s starting to show it’s age haha
I would kill to only have to wash my hair once a week! How much do wigs cost?
It depends lol the ones the ladies I work have cost around $100 each. Real hair ones are even more expensive. But both don’t last as long as the one I have and they usually don’t come custom made. The one I have is custom fit to my head, is synthetic hair which will never lose its colour, and it hand made. The guy literally attaches every strand of hair haha it was $1500 but I’ve worn it every day for over 3 years lol he started his business for cancer patients so he only uses the best of the best
Wow! That’s amazing. And honestly, I would get the synthetic if it felt/looked exactly the same and lasted longer. I cannot believe the dude attaches every strand. How does he not have cramped up hands? How, when he’s on strand #305,325 is he not like like “F this, I quit!” That is amazing!
Hehe I was looking at the underside yesterday and I think they come in lines of hair for most of the wig and they get attached to the netting underneath. And then just at the front there is some lace netting that he attaches the single strands to.
But it totally looks like real hair! No one can tell unless I tell them. The front netting is starting to get a little frayed and the ends are getting frizzy but that’s it. I don’t think it feels like real hair, but that’s just me haha it’s not as soft and “run your fingers through their hair” type of feel
I LOVE Batiste for dry shampoo. Also, if you want to try a deep conditioner for your hair, It’s a 10 is legit, but it’s pretty pricey ?
Wait, it’s called “It’s a 10”?
Sorry, there are quite a few It’s a 10 products. It’s the It’s a 10 Miracle Mask. It’s $30, but it legit works. I use it twice a month when I clarify.
Got it! I’ll look for it today on my lunch.
