4 Hours of Organizing

Home Organization

Ah organizing! Yesterday I finally did what I’ve been meaning to do for probably at least a year- organize our closet and armoires. I very much had a “fuck it” mentality and threw away so many things- duffle bags, clothes I haven’t worn in years, 6″ blue suede stilettos, an iPod, a cd player. Our trash can is full. I’ve come to a conclusion I have never been serious about until now- I need new clothes. I’ve said it in the past but really didn’t need clothes. Now a days, the only time I obtain a new garment is when my mother in law buys me something. Yes, my mother in law is dressing me now.

So next weekend, I think I am going out and shopping for clothes. I almost forget how to do it. Oh wait, now I remember, it’s like when I buy $18.99 Nike Elite socks for my oldest-Parker or $100 cleats. It’s like that, but for me.

So to make way for my new clothes (and I pray I don’t go to Ikea again and blow any money I thought about having for clothes), I present to you what 4 hours can do for a nasty-ass closet and 2 armoires.

I thought I was done organizing but then I hit up our pantry and threw out an entire Ikea bag and a trash bag, filled with expired food and empty boxes. Our garage looks like a hoarders paradise as the trash can is overflowing so I’m using my garage as my gigantic trash can. May no one see it until trash day.

So next week, I am going shopping. Probably plan on a post featuring outfits I buy. I know you men-folk out there can barely contain your excitement at thought of what I’m gonna buy at Target. How about I add a swim suit model between pics of outfits? Deal? Good. See! Something for everyone!
