Well folks, we have 4 confirmed cases, all in the Cleveland area. There are also two people being tested in the county next to me. The grocery store is RIDICULOUS right now. I took the below pictures 4 days ago when there were 0 reported cases:
Now remember, we had no cases in Ohio when I took these pics. And can we talk about the ass hole that stole the wipes from the dispenser? Are you kidding me? So not only are you paranoid but you’re a dumb thief. I love that someone typed up that sign. I have visions of a furious assistant manager marching to the backroom of the grocery store, sitting down at their computer and angrily typing up the message. Personally, mine would have said this:
To the ass hole that stole the wipes,
I’d like to remind you that you just touched the dirtiest place in the entire store, while extracting the wipes. I trust that karma will catch up with you and you’ll experience rotavirus, the flu, a cold and herpes, hopefully simultaneously.

School Might Be Cancelled
My friend told me that her teacher friends (teachers that teach in our district) were saying they are considering closing the schools. I dismissed this as a rumor until I received the following email last night:
I sent a screenshot to everyone with the simple caption OH…MY….GOD. I am 43-years-old and I’ve never encountered anything like this. At first, I didn’t understand why the officials are preventing large gatherings and considering the closing of schools but now I get it.
In a nutshell, if cases get to the levels of Italy or China, the hospitals won’t have enough resources to treat everyone. We’re now hearing cases of not enough ventilators in Italy. We’re also hearing that they are having to choose who to treat and who to not to I based on underlying health conditions. Though I thought it was being blown out of proportion a few days ago, I get the reasoning with canceling events and possible school closures to prevent spread. What I’m unclear about is the level of support America will receive with regards to paid sick leave, unemployment, child care, etc.
I feel like we’re damned if we do, damned if we don’t. The economy is gonna go down the shitter if everything is shut down to prevent spread. On the other hand, if the coronavirus spreads, we could end up like Italy or China.
So yeah, that’s week one in Ohio. We have spastic dooms-day preppers buying enough toilet paper to supply Disneyworld and stealing Clorox wipes. What’s it look like in your neck of the woods?
There is a lot of panic in my area of the Lehigh Valley in Pa. I just saw news of an infected student at a charter two towns east of us. I work with a 70+ woman that is always out sick and has a lot of underlying health issues. She is a prime candidate but no one in management seems to take this serious. Literally my department consists of 5 people in close quarters and she was hacking in the room all day. Not a happy camper, then some paranoid twit posted misinformation on stomach acid killing the virus after drinking water every 15 minutes all over the building. The gym I go to has been pretty empty. My wife and i have plans to see a concert next month but that could cancel and we are still considering going to cape cod mass for vacation at the end of april despite mass declaring a state of emergency. I turn 50 on April 7th, gotta love it. :/
I’ve never in my life seen anything like this! If this doesn’t clear up soon, your concert may end up being cancelled. As for the lady hacking, that sucks big time. That would drive me crazy!
Yeah and what is worse is shes over 70, is always out sick, and has the underlying conditions to catch it. She is obese, asthmatic, high blood pressure and diabetes and seems to not care about her health in general having recently just bought 18! boxes of girl scout cookies. I am taking each day as it comes. If the concert is cancelled so be it. If our vacation destination is on high alert or the town where i live is obviously we shall reschedule for another time. I know I have lived thru H1N1, Ebola, Sars, the bird flu, swine flu, mad cow disease, but none of those have reached this proportion in the US since like the flu epidemic of 1918.

Other countries our imprisoning people…sad state of affairs all around, not to mention If the President of Brazil tested positive, there is a very good chance 45 has it as well. Not doing a very good job of alleviating any fear by telling the American Public, its not as bad as the media says it is.

I just wrote a post about what Covid-19 looks like in our small town in rural Ireland. It seems toilet paper is a thing all over the world! Who would’ve thought that would be the first thing to sell out during a pandemic? ?

I grew up in Cincinnati and went to OSU. I’ve been living in Ireland since 2001. My mom does have friends and family to check on her but she falls into the vulnerable category at her age. Hoping to visit Ohio this summer if life is back to normal by then. ??
The governor just closed all restaurants and bars for dine in, effective in 2 hrs and 15 minutes. I CANNOT believe this.
All the pubs in Ireland closed from tonight. The whole country may soon be on lockdown like Italy.?
