Listen Up WordPress.com, WordPress.org, Jetpack or Whatever Name You Go By

I continue to have real problems with functionalities I had FOR FREE at WordPress.com. Now, for the life of me what I can’t figure out is why in the hell would you have a wordpress.com and a wordpress.org site?

“Because one is hosted by us and one is self hosted,” they would respond.

“Kkkkyyyy……then why did you not only name these 2 VERY DIFFERENT websites the EXACT SAME NAME in lieu of oh I don’t know, something that made sense like WordPress.com and Wordly.com, AND keep them completely separated?”

“Because we are the same company and we wanted consistency and cohesiveness. We are building a brand and we took a deep dive into this and circled back around then put it in the parking lot after we touched base,” they would say as they chop cilantro from Whole Foods, completely forgetting to take out their blue tooth.

At this point I would stop the conversation realizing that this individual is confident their own shit does not stink knowing I would not get a real answer.

So before you move to self hosted, look at my issues and choose wisely:

  1. My traffic has been slashed by 50%. I am going to chalk it up as I just need to learn how to increase it or see what I am f’ing up.
  2. My follower count has disappeared. I still have the followers, it’s just not visible.
  3. Some Bloggers have reported that they are unable to not only like a post but leave a comment. This pisses me off the most because I want to interact with everyone.
  4. Since there is no customer service or they are reserved solely for the Illuminati, I must rely on the forums. Initially I didn’t have a problem getting my issues fixed. This past week, my question was answered by a question (a personal pet peeve of mine) and I have yet to see results.

So I leave you with the forum message I sent a little while ago to showcase my frustration in all of this…..
