Because I have ADD I think about this post then forget it, think about it, then forget it. Well folks, in a moment of clarity on the throne (I get 70% of my ideas in the shower or thrown), I remembered! So before it’s forgotten because I saw a squirrel or shiny object, I’m starting this damn post.
Now, I am 40. I have lived through the 80’s (I can’t remember the 3 years I spent in the 70’s with the exception of a few flashbacks), the 90’s, the 00’s (it just doesn’t have the same ring like the 80’s & 90’s, am I right?) and in this decade. There hasn’t been a ton of songs I’m loving over the past year. Is this my slow spiral into middle-age? No, I refuse to accept that. Then again, de’nial ain’t just a river in Africa.
So if you want to know what is on my playlist, here it is. I don’t care if a song is 5, 10, 20 or even 40 years old. Good music is ageless. If that wasn’t the case, Mozart and Bach would have never made it. I’ve put links to all the songs in case there is something new here and you want to check out a few of these. Nice Playlist! I’m a lover of what appeals to Me and like you thats from all those decades. I find it hard to like our current ‘music’ and always go back to the oldies for inspiration 😉
Love R&B (the old stuff and 90s) – Solo, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, Maxwell, D’Angelo … then stuff like Rage Against the Machine and Madonna. If it feels good 😉

Yes, I have a specific “it’s not raining but it damn well should be” playlist. (Fiona Apple, Nora Jones, Toni Braxton… listen for a few minutes and you’ll swear it’s raining)
